Shampoo & Conditioner

It took me a few tries, but I finally found a great cruelty-free shampoo and conditioner. It’s by Live Clean, and sold at most major drugstore chains. Now, I have problem hair. I know what you’re thinking – lots of people say that when they have great hair, everyone wants what they can’t have blah blah. No – my hair issues are serious. I have red hair. If you think about it – it is hard to find a true redhead who has naturally straight hair. Mine takes work to make it straight OR curly. I generally straighten it every day. Then I fight against rain/moisture/humidity to try to retain the straightness. I am one of the few people you will meet who are happy when colder weather comes, solely because it means better hair. All of this means I am serious when it comes to hair products, but unwilling to spend a fortune. I picked up my Live Clean shampoo & conditioner at Shoppers Drug Mart on sale for around $6 (each). Score!

Product: Live Clean Shampoos & Conditioners. There are quite a few varieties; I’m currently using the “Bali Oil Smoothing” version.

Why I Love it: It lathers amazingly well considering it contains no SLS. It has a great scent and rinses clean. My hair feels soft and clean after washing. Aside from being cruelty-free, it is also vegan, paraben-free, phthalate-free AND made in Canada.

Where to Buy: At your local drug store (in Ontario I’ve seen it at both Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall/Pharma Plus). Look for other great products by this awesome brand.

    • That’s a great point to bring up as a LOT of people are the same way. I’ll be sure to mention in the future when products offer unscented versions!

  1. I love Live Clean, but sadly the price has gone up $2 where I live! Its now $8.99, used to be 6.99…not sure why, but now I’m seeking a different cruelty free shampoo/conditioner. 🙁 I tried Jason and liked it but its a bit pricey, too!
